Business Development Manager - Norican Group

(Taastrup, Copenhagen, DK)

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to support our strategic planning, strategic program development & execution.

Your new role

As Business Development Manager you will be reporting to the Norican Group Executive as part of the Group leadership support team. From here you will be working with the executive leadership and stakeholders within the business to develop & implement business strategies.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure the development of strategic goals and measurement criteria and monitoring the performance of established strategies. You will be involved in numerous tasks, including market intelligence projects, cross-functional team collaborations and interaction with regions & Lines of Business (Norican’s four brands which are: DISA, Italpresse Gauss, StrikoWestofen and Wheelabrator) on a continuous basis to follow up on strategy execution.


Key responsibilities:

  • Business strategy development & implementation support for executive management
  • Risk management of strategic projects, driving business and project initiatives including follow up on long-term goals and objectives
  • Assisting in the design of strategy overviews, facilitating the strategic planning process
  • Assisting the development and implementation of the different business’s strategic objectives and processes • Ensuring the development of strategic goals & measurement criteria, monitoring the performance of established strategies in a consistent approach
  • Engaging in sensitive and high-value business development activities
  • Engaging in market intelligence & business development projects relevant for strategic planning & execution
  • Driving ad hoc strategic and/or tactical Group priority initiatives as well as specific strategic M&A projects
  • Developing operational plans for strategic and transformational projects across the business

The position will be reporting to the Norican CEO and will be based in Taastrup, Denmark (Greater Copenhagen area). Relocation support will be considered for candidates living outside of Denmark.

What you’ll need to succeed

The position requires a master’s degree in Engineering or other relevant degree. We expect you to have completed your degree within the past couple of years, documenting strong academic results and are ambitious with an interest in boosting your strategic skill set and business insight.

You should have strong analytical skills with an ability to evaluate commercial, financial, and operational performance. Have effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate brings international experience, either from living abroad or from working in an international environment, with an ability to work with senior executives in a global context.

Language skills should include fluency in written and spoken English, ideally combined with a second language.
