Data Analyst

Are you ready to take on a new, exciting challenge?

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to support strategic and operational initiatives at Norican. This role involves interpreting internal data and benchmarking it against external metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities. You will help drive data-led improvements in transparency, performance monitoring, and decision-making.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and Power Query; VBA is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Power BI for dashboards and visualization (or willingness to learn).
  • Comfortable working with data from multiple systems and formats (Excel, ERP, CRM, CSV, SharePoint, Data Lakes etc…).
  • Data Structuring: Understanding of joins, keys, hierarchies, and relational data.
  • Accuracy in identifying outliers, errors, or inconsistencies in data sets.
  • Ability to clean, structure, and prepare complex data sets for analysis.
  • MS365 Tools: Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive for collaboration and data sharing.
  • Analytical & Problem Solving
  • Optional Skills: Basic SQL, DAX, data visualization best practices, and familiarity with manufacturing business processes.

Specific tasks: 

  • Ensure accurate, consistent, and timely preparation of data for reporting and analysis.
  • Perform comparative analysis between Norican data and external benchmarks.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support decision-making.
  • Understand company challenges and how data analytics can help lead to solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and communicate findings clearly.
  • Support process improvements through data-driven insights and automation.
  •  Analyze data to uncover patterns and trends and effectively communicate insights to support business understanding and decision-making.

Specific tasks:

  • Extract and consolidate data from various systems and file types (CSV, ERP, Excel, CRM, SharePoint etc.).
  • Identify, clean and transform raw, unstructured, or inconsistent data into usable formats.
  • Build and maintain Excel-based tools using advanced formulas, pivot tables, and Power Query 
  • Create and update Power BI dashboards and reports (or demonstrate willingness to learn).
  • Validate and cross-check data to identify discrepancies or errors.
  • Document data processes, logic flows, and tool usage to support knowledge transfer.
  • Engage with colleagues to clarify requirements, fill in missing data, or address anomalies.
  • Support ad hoc data analysis requests and contribute to ongoing E4 initiatives.
