We are offering you the opportunity to work at Wheelabrator Group SAS, based in the Ardennes. The company achieved a turnover of around €30 million in 2024 and employs 70 people in France. Wheelabrator Group SAS is part of the Danish Norican , which includes the brands DISA, StrikoWestofen, Simpson and Wheelabrator, all leaders in their respective fields. Wheelabrator Group SAS comprises an aftermarket service for all the Group's brands and the Air Technology Centre, whose mission is to design automated shot blasting and surface preparation machines for complex and technical parts for the aerospace industry and all high-tech industries.
Responsibilities:
- Study and analyze client specifications and determine the technical solution
- Organize and manage the project in accordance with the schedule
- Define and design the general architecture of a machine's control system
- Draw electrical diagrams
- Define the nomenclature of a machine's control system
- Negotiate technical and financial terms with suppliers
- Develop PLC programs
- Carry out tests
- Commission the machine at the customer's site in France and abroad
- Write the programmer's and operator's manual
- Train customer operators and programmers
- Develop an interface with the customer's programmer
- Develop the programs for the customer's part(s) to be processed
- Provide technical support for after-sales service
- Contribute to technology monitoring in the field of activities
The Automation Engineer may be required to perform additional tasks not included in the above description but for which their participation is required for the smooth running of the company's general organization.
Autonomy:
- Comply with customer specifications and commercial offers
- Follow internal design and programming procedures and rules
- Deliver electrical diagrams on time for manufacturing
- Commission the machine within the allotted time frame
- Comply with HQSE rules
- Comply with the rules defined by the manager
- Report to your manager
- Alert your manager in the event of anomalies
- Ensure that the tools and equipment made available to you are in good condition
- Ensure the confidentiality of information related to the job
Specific Tasks:
- Knowledge of industrial technology in all aspects of engineering
- Experience with international activities, either working abroad or in an organization/company with a strong international focus
- Knowledge of CAD, CAM, 2D/3D and CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) design tools specific to the field of automation and control
- Proficiency in automation, electricity, electrical engineering, electronics, pneumatics and mechanics
- Knowledge of programming specific to programmable logic controllers, supervision systems and user interfaces
- Knowledge of English (minimum B1)
- Driving license
- Engineering degree
