We are looking for a new member to join our team in Wiehl, Germany:

Model-based software developer (m/f/d)

Tasks waiting for you:

  • Design and development of machine systems with focus on software and human interfaces
  • Requirements management, architecture, model-based function development, programming and verification of machine software and machine regulations
  • Structured software validation using in-the-loop-methods (MIL, SIL, HIL)
  • Further development of internal infrastructure, tool-chains and quality management for software development
  • Creation of requirements and functional specifications for internal use as well as for suppliers
  • Organization and conduction of validation tests in the technical center and on-site at customer locations
  • Technical clarification with customers and suppliers on the phone and on-site
  • Active suggestions for development and improvement of our product portfolio, both in technical and economic terms

You convince us with:

  • A degree in computer science, electronics, or mechanical engineering with focus on automation
  • Passion for and experience with (model-based) software development
  • Knowledge of and experience with Linux and Matlab / Simulink / Embedded Coder
  • Knowledge of and practical experience with at least one high-level language (ideally ANSI C)
  • Desirable additional skills and/or experience: SQL, JIRA / Confluence and a PLC system
  • First practical experience with technical documentation
  • An affinity to the engineering industry and the willingness to get to know our products in depth
  • An out-of-the-box thinking, communicative, persuasive and collaborative personality
  • The ability to abstract combined with a distinct analytical mindset and a passion for dealing with complexities
  • A good command of English
